Herring-Nabarro creep is a mode of deformation of crystalline materials that occurs at low stresses and temperature in fine-grained materials. In Herring-Nabarro creep, atoms diffuse through the crystals, and the creep rate varies inversely with the square of the grain size so fine-grained materials creep faster than coarser-grained ones.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=DoITPoMS )〕〔Goldsby, D. (2009). Superplastic flow of ice relevant to glacier and ice-sheet mechanics. in Knight, P. (ed). Glacier Sciences and Environmental Change. Oxford, Wiley-Blackwell, 527 p.〕 In contrast, in Coble creep atoms diffuse along grain boundaries and the creep rate varies inversely with the cube of the grain size.〔 Lower temperatures favor Cobol creep and higher temperatures favor Herring-Nabarro creep.〔 ==References== * * * * 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Herring-Nabarro Creep」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
